A soldier was killed and seven other people wounded in two separate landmine blasts in Balochistan province, officials said on Thursday.

The trooper and three others were wounded when their vehicle hit a landmine planted by suspected tribal rebels in Dera Bugti district late on Wednesday, a paramilitary forces spokesman told AFP.

Four tribesmen were wounded in a separate landmine explosion early Thursday near the same area, he added.
